How to check a BSTI mark
The Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) certifies products against Bangladesh standards. Some products must carry the BSTI mark before they can be sold.

What the BSTI mark means
The mark shows that the manufacturer holds a BSTI certification-mark licence for that product and standard. It is not a guarantee that a single item is genuine, because marks can be copied too.
How to read the mark
- Find the BSTI logo on the product or packaging
- Look for the licence or CM number printed with it
- Note the standard number (BDS) if shown
- Check that the manufacturer's name matches the brand
How to verify it
- Visit the official BSTI website
- Look up the licence holders for that product
- Match the manufacturer name and licence number
- If in doubt, ask the seller for the BSTI certificate
Which products need the mark
The list of products that must carry the BSTI mark changes over time. Check the current list on the BSTI website instead of relying on a number quoted online.

Will you show me the BSTI certificate for items you supply?
Yes. Ask for it on any item and we'll show you the certificate or licence details.
